Taipei, March 24 (CNA) The National Palace Museum (NPM) was awarded four golds and two silvers at this year’s MUSE Creative Awards with its immersive digital exhibitions and website designs.
Among the gold winners were “Evoking Aura: Invoking Visionary Insights,” honored in the “Experiential & Immersive – Immersive Brand Experience” category. The exhibition held last year featured 8K-resolution photographs of exhibits at the museum that gave visitors an immersive experience, the NPM said in a statement on Monday.
“Divine Vision, Ghostly Reflection: New Media Art Exhibition,” another gold winner, was centered on the Southern Sung Dynasty painting “The Three Taoist Officials Making an Inspection Tour” and employed motion sensors, allowing visitors to interact with the piece, the NPM said.
Meanwhile, the website that the NPM created for its “The Emperors’ Moving Gardens” exhibition last year clinched two golds in the “home page/landing page” and “art & design” categories, while the site for the “Storytelling Images” exhibition won two silvers in the “home page/landing page” and “cultural” categories.
The NPM said it would continue applying digital technology to offer visitors new ways to admire art and artifacts.
The MUSE Creative Awards, established in 2015 by the International Awards Associate, honors excellence and innovation in creative design, advertising, and digital media, according to the event’s website.
