Taipei, April 5 (CNA) Temperatures in northern Taiwan are expected to fall Saturday but will rise again by Monday, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).
Daytime highs in the northern half of the country will hover around 20 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while nighttime lows will drop to 16 degrees, CWB data showed. By Monday, however, the mercury will rebound to around 25 degrees during the day, the CWA said.
In the southern half of Taiwan, the weather will remain warm Saturday, with temperatures reaching 26-29 degrees during the day and falling to around 20 degrees after sunset, the CWA said.
Meanwhile, rain was expected Saturday in northern and eastern Taiwan, on the Hengchun peninsula, and in mountainous areas in the south, as a cloud system from South China approached, the CWA said.
The rain will ease on Sunday but will intensify again on Monday as the cloud system moves eastward, the CWA has forecast.
The weather conditions are expected to become even more unstable on Thursday and Friday due to the influence of a frontal system, it said.
